Long-distance move from Charlotte, NC to West Chester, PA

Do not use this company, 1 star is over rated

I had issues from day 1. It’s been over 1 year and I’m still trying to get my $30. check from them. They broke items, lost items, offered me other people’s property items that they had on the truck and they finally offered me $30. for all the numerous telephone calls, frustration, damage to my property and all my lost items. Really!!! Let alone going through a different company for the claim and that’s another story in itself. I have been so frustrated that I just wanted to get this over with. Now it’s just the point to get my $30. Numerous times they have lost my paperwork that I had filled out and also a claim release form that I had to have it notarized, Thomas Brown said they never received it and it was all my fault let alone the 2 hour wait to talk to somebody.

Thomas Brown is unprofessional and doesn’t care about anybody’s property or customer service plus he will add additional costs when he comes to pick up your furniture. He told me to text over the claim release form again since they don’t have it to a telephone number that doesn’t accept text messages. I thankfully saved his cell phone number at the time of the move and sent it directly to him.

I would love to hear from the owner of this company. I guess that I shouldn’t hold my breath because nobody else has returned any calls.

Move from Texas to Georgia.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY..AND, ARROW MOVING and STORAGE!! If an option to give them a "0" rating was available, that would be the number chosen. I moved from Texas to Georgia and this is the company Arrow Moving & Storage outsourced my move to. In all of my discussions with Arrow Moving they never mentioned they would outsource the move to another vendor. The movers arrived a day late from originally scheduled. When they did finally arrive three of their moving crew did not show up. I was told they were in an accident on the way to my house..was this true?? Due to them being short handed, it took them until Midnight to complete the move since I had to be out of the by that night. I also had a storage unit they needed to load on the truck. I was told my load would be the only household on the truck. This was not the case. There were two other households on the truck. Due to this being the situation, the contents of the storage unit would not fit on the truck. A smaller rental truck had to be used, then offloaded to a semi. I did not receive the contents from the storage unit until two weeks after the first portion of my contents were delivered. When I asked why my household items would not fit on the truck, they were abrupt and told me "I had more stuff than scheduled"!! When moves are scheduled they are based on an estimate of contents, do the moving companies not realize no estimate is accurate. An estimate is just that..an estimate. They should allow for a percentage of the estimated for overage. I had paid for the original estimated cubic feet prior to the move and was told if additional was owed the driver would tell me the amount in order for it to be paid upon delivery of the contents. Since the storage unit items would not fit on the semi, I was told I would have to pay upfront in order for them to take the contents of the storage unit. What choice did I have?? It was either pay them then or my items would not be moved. Upon the semi arriving in Georgia, it was a disaster. Furniture was broken, most of the other furniture had scratches and nick or areas on the furniture that would need to be repaired. A new bedroom set look as if I had it for 20 years. Box after box of dishes were broken. Boxes were crushed! The first load delivered, the men were different that those loading the truck in Texas. They were very nice and acted as if they cared about my belongings. The second load delivered, the men were rude and threw my belonging around as if they couldn't get out of my house fast enough. With the second crew, they were actually scary and I wasn't sure I wanted to be in the house alone with them. I contacted Arrow Moving and Storage and they transferred me to Move Us to Relocation to advise them of the condition of my items. Since I was so upset, the "manager" told me he would handle my claim/issue personally. I took pictures of all the damaged items and forwarded to him via email. After approximately three weeks, I was offered $350 for all of the damage. Mind you, a bed and table were so damaged they had to be thrown away!! I would not accept their offer and told them they needed to reevaluate. Since I would not accept the offer, they referred me to a third party claims company and would no longer communicate with me. The claims company required all the same information to be submitted in order for the claim to be "reconsidered". I sent an email back to the moving company advising them that they had all the information and I expected them to work with me on a reasonable settlement. To date, I have not even received a reply. These people are crooks and have no respect for your belonging. Arrow Moving and Storage misrepresented their service and did not provide the service contracted!! I'm writing this review in hopes that no one else is submitted to this type of treatment. Save yourself a lot of heart ache, stress and aggravation, don't use either of these companies.

Twice as Nice.

I've used this company twice and have been extremely happy with the service both times. My first move was an interstate relocation from Oklahoma to Texas in 2018 and just now I've relocated again back to Oklahoma. The staff was very courteous and professional, and I had the pleasure of having Mayelo as the foreman of my move both times. I've never seen someone wrap furniture so quick! I left for thirty minutes to grab lunch for the crew and my entire living room was wrapped or packaged. I highly recommend Move Us To!

Do Not Use This Company.

This company has a D- rating from BBB. They are unprofessional. They do not know how to pack or move a person’s belongings. They were hired as a third party to move belongings from TX to MN. There were times when I could not get a hold of anyone at their company for a week at a time. The addresses they have listed are empty buildings. They took 34 days to move my belongings. Then on the day of delivery threatened to drive away with my belongings if I didn’t give them more money. They broke into my fiancé’s tool box and broke it. My things were covered in dirt and leaves like they had been sitting outside. Most of my things were damaged. Stay away from this company.

Move review

This company is a total disaster. Thomas the owner is not engaged in solving problems. They failed to deliver the goods as contracted. They provided no communication on changes and excuses on delays and damages. Their packaging process was extremely poor as several items were crushed beyond belief. They lost a wardrobe box and have made little to no effort to find it. Jamie the operations manager, is useless. Fails to return calls promptly, knows little about the business, and doesn't care about customer support

Lies, damage, and stolen items.

DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING!!

They were rude, dishonest, aggressive, and did nothing to maintain communication regarding my items. They tried to charge me additional fees constantly and "lost" several items (including a brand new mattress) and damaged much of what was delivered. Nearly every box was wet, torn, and crushed. As was my furniture. At delivery, the driver wouldn't let me read my paper work. He kept pulling it away from me and tried to force me to sign a document saying everything was received in "good" condition.

They left me with someone else's mattress and despite numerous attempts over the past month I have received no updates on if they have found mine. They also have not contacted me regarding the mystery mattress and if someone is coming to retrieve it.

This company will lie to you, steal, and break all of your belongings then look you in the eye and be shocked that you are upset about it. PLEASE do not suffer the way I have. Find another way to move your things.

Do NOT waste your time and money!!

A couple of the things wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but they started adding up real quick! Our pickup date got pushed back. Multiple miscommunications on their end about timing. They don't answer the phone number(s) they provide for you. They originally told us that "weight wasn't an issue and to utilize space" so we filled our coolers and safe and cabinets with stuff, but were told upon arrival that everything had to be removed and repacked in boxes, which changed how much space we needed and our stuff wouldn't fit on their truck anymore. They wouldn't load suitcases or duffel bags with stuff in it. (I guess I can understand that, but COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!) My husband had to remove all our items off the truck by himself and they drove away without any further communication. I have tried calling and emailing over the past couple of days to no avail. I guess I'm saving myself the headache of working with a company that isn't trustworthy, but I'm not sure that's worth the $509 deposit they charged me!!

When you're packing up your beloved belongings and moving them cross country, you want to find a company you can trust with your stuff. They are NOT that company. They may quote you a cheaper price than competitors up front, but I promise you the headache and the lies and the extra fees they try to sneak in there will add up quicker than you think!!

Take non-replaceable items WITH YOU ..

If you choose them or get dispatched to them avoid it, because I had 3 leather jackets stolen, 11 Xbox games and headset stolen, a Mac book pro stolen, and dell touch screen, a 800.00 foam mattress stolen, and there was condensation damage to my furniture. They hardly answer their phone and it was almost impossible to schedule a bill of landing with them. Stay away from Mover brokers. When your stuff switches trucks your items will get stolen. And even if you fill out a claim on movingclaims.net they go by the weight of your items not worth. You can't even sue them for lawyer's fees if you take that route. The mover brokerage is a legal SCAM which is horrid.

Worse of the Worse.

Once they take you things and money you will not hear from them again. Thomas is RUDE and did not honor price match because company did not have the a rating his own company does not have A+. The inventory guy need to use my bathroom and did not communicate with his mover, who were rude to me for not being informed about the distance to the elevator (it was long). My belongs were picked up over a week ago, I have no clue where they are at. I have make no more than 30 calls to Thomas, the main number, and the inventory guy; NO ONE CALLS BACK. I only want to know when I can expect my things. THIS IS A SCAM and I am filing formal complaints.

Unhelpful, Rude, Delivery 7 Weeks Late, and Items Damaged/Missing.

By far the most unhelpful, and careless "business" I have EVER worked with. From pickup, to communication, to storage, to billing, to drop off, these people did not get a single thing right. I waited 7 weeks for my items after calling daily to move things forward but apparently the company would "lose money" by sending my stuff to me. If that was the case, why did they take the job? They are blaming the inability to schedule a delivery on Covid, despite them accepting the job in MAY, the height of quarantine. When I did get my items after, once again, seven weeks of pulling teeth from rude and uncooperative people, I was missing several items and others were damaged. How these people are still operating is a mystery, one that anyone who reads this should help to close. DO NOT GIVE YOUR ITEMS AND MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE!!

If you have done business with them in the past and have had a similar experience, I encourage you to call the following agencies and open complaints: Texas Department of Transportation, the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the Federal Trade Commission department of Consumer Protection. All numbers are easily found online and these agencies can help move things along when t

Full Experience:

I was given a two day window with times of when they would show up. On the last day of the window given to me, I tried to reach out to find when the movers would come but even after multiple calls to the moving company, no one responded. It wasn't until two hours after they were scheduled to be there that I finally got a hold of someone (no one reached out to me). They informed me that the movers would be several hours late due to an issue with renting the truck. I explained to them that this is not what was agreed upon and that by them being so late without any advance notice, I would now owe my apartment extra rent for not vacating by their agreed upon time. A deadline I would have easily made had the movers arrived when I was promised they would. What I find to be the most upsetting and disrespectful aspect of not being able to get in touch with them is that if I called and asked for a quote instead of customer service, I would reach a human instantly, but if I chose to speak with customer service, no one would ever answer.

The movers then show up on 06/07/2020, EIGHT hours after the originally agreed upon time and end up charging me for costs that I was told by the booking company I used, verbatim, I would not be charged for, such as the number of flights of stairs in my unit. The movers stated that my booking company does not have the authority to make claims on what I would and wouldn't pay. So it is clear that these people cannot be bothered to follow a contract.

The movers gave me their contract, of which I filled out the applicable parts, and stated they would email me this contract for my records, yet another promise made by this company which they did not deliver on. I did follow up with them asking for copies of the contract but have gotten no resolution. As such, I cannot even look over the contract to see who is in the right. I asked when I could expect my items and was told by the mover, word for word, "It's not about our availability, its about when you need us. We'll be there when you tell us you need your stuff". This question is important as not a single person from from this company set up any expectation of when I could get my belongings.

When I was able to finally get my stuff, the movers were once again late and I noticed some of my belongings were straight up missing (I wonder how much money they'll make from selling items they stole from me), and others were damaged. Boxes were crushed and furniture was scratched and warped. Clearly this company does not know how, or cannot afford to transport and store items correctly.

Throughout the 7 WEEKS I have waited, I have made several calls to someone by the name of Thomas who the movers told me to contact to set up a delivery. This individual would go weeks without returning my calls or messages, even after stating he would follow up with an update. He was also rude and unwilling to answer my questions. At one point he even straight up hung up on me. I also spoke once to a man named Jake who gave me his personal line and still ignored every single one of my follow up messages.

None of this behavior is acceptable for any company, let alone one charged with housing and transporting your heirlooms, furniture, and expensive equipment.

This company is so out of touch with the pain and headaches they cause others that they even had the audacity to ask me to remove my Better Business Bureau complaint so others wouldn't see it. Not only is this against BBB practices, but they in no way tried to help me resolve the issue until they started losing money because of it. This company is a joke and you would be safer and better off avoiding them and anyone associated with them at all costs.

Worst company ever

RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

Believe the reviews. Save yourself the time and money!!!

I hired this company through a moving broker. My things were packed on December 16, 2020 and sent to storage until I received my new address. I called and left messages countless of times since late December to get my things out. All of the companies phone lines sent me to voicemail and no one ever contacted me back. The same happened to the quality assurance person from the broker. I started calling every day again and Nelson picks up. He was suppose to send me an email about the process of getting my things. I never received the email. I call back and im sent to voicemail again. I was ignored for 2 more weeks. My friend put in a inquiry to move and they called her immediately. I told him I wasn’t getting off the phone until I got the email. The contract says they can only hold my things for up to 30 days and those 30 days are up if we’re going based off of my ignored phone calls and messages. They will not communicate with me or update me about anything.

Scammers

I used this moving company to move from Texas to Florida back in July. They arrived late for pick up and didn't even call to let me know, I had to call them. Then, when I wanted my stuff delivered in August the delivery date I gave them was considered the "first available date" for delivery. I called several times and no one would tell me when my things would be delivered or where they even where. Finally, my stuff was delivered in September. They again arrived late and didn't call, I had to. The boxes I used were brand new, but when they delivered them they were completely destroyed. They caused about $500 in damages. I filed my complaint in October and was offered $68.00 through their $0.60/lbs policy in December. I accepted because any money is better than no money. I have not received my settlement. I filed a BBB complaint in April and was told they would "look into it and get back to me," they haven't. All I want is for them to follow their own policy and give me the money they owe me. I followed the process, I signed all the paperwork, I've emailed them and their third party claims company multiple times and no one will give me a straight answer. I left them a 1 star review on the BBB website, if I could give them 0 stars I would.
